Responsibilities

• Support the animation team by helping manage and optimize our Blender workflow

• Assist with fixing small issues in vendor 3D assets (i.e. rigging or weight painting)

• Help build tools and effects using geometry nodes and shaders

• Set up render layers and passes for compositing in Blender or After Effects

• Create and clean up 3D models, textures, and animations as needed

• Keep files organized and ready for production

• Work closely with artists, producers, and directors to understand project needs

• Handle compositing tasks in Blender or After Effects, including render layer setup, passes, and final look.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Blender, including rigging, UV unwrapping, procedural materials, and geometry nodes.

• Experience with the rigging plugins for Blender.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make corrections and revisions in-house.

• A passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

• Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to learning and bringing new ideas to the team.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D modeling, rigging, animation, and texturing using Blender.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of 3D work in Blender.

• Deadline and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as ClickUp.

• Must work at our studio in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and be legal to work in the US.
