Taste the legacy

Mason Dixon Distillery

BUilding community

Yianni built his first still at age eleven from a sketch his grandfather made him. What followed was a moonshine fire, but also a lifelong exploration into the process of distilling and a passion that found its home in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Mason Dixon Distillery was built in the shell of a 100-year old factory in downtown Gettysburg. It was restored beyond its former glory with original exposed brick and wood beams. It’s modeled after a German Beer hall with the intention of fostering genuine conversations—and it does it well.

Mason Dixon Distillery has quickly become a go-to spot in the Gettysburg community. Yianni’s an active community builder with the intention to create a thriving legacy in his wake.

    Yianni

Yianni Barakos is a staple in the Gettysburg community, and was awarded “Small Business Person of the Year” by the Chamber of Gettysburg & Adams County. He has a big laugh and a big heart—from the moment we met him we knew we wanted to tell his story.

We shadowed Yianni and his team for four days to learn what he’s doing to crown the good.
